"Some of the best things in life appear when you least expect them."
Let me be honest I am not good in writing essays but here is what I experienced on my first outstation Audit which was totally not for me but yes I do believe in luck and finally this Audit was given to me. It was of a Mutual Fund industry which i had no idea since I had joined in that group four days ago only!!
It was a big day (Monday), me luckily sitting in the office doing my work till noon. Suddenly heard the voice of someone in a big tone which forced me to turn back and look who the hell is he? It was my boss speaking with my team leader with plenty of jargon's and asking the status of different cities of India. Me listening to him and acting as if i am seriously working. That was the moment which put me in a questioning mind like when I will be able to speak all those jargon's?? When will i go and visit all the cities and the clients?? But deep inside i thought that one day will come when i will prove myself by satisfying all the questions i had in my mind. Again listening to the boss talking to my team leader about the Ahmedabad and Rajkot cities to visit the client place. He took four to five names of the best experienced persons he had in my team and asked my team leader to send any two of them to visit those two cities for four days. My team leader calling all the persons as in who all are available for the next four days. May be it was my luck, all the experienced persons were busy except one. He wanted one of the persons with him to visit these cities. I was pretty sure that this time its not my turn so i silently walked towards the washroom. The moment i came back at my place to work the first phrase i heard from my team leader was "Amit, pack your bags tomorrow you are leaving for Ahmedabad". Me laughing and answered to her back "No mam i cannot". But deep inside i was telling myself god please let me go!! I thought those lines because i was knowing that My team leader is kidding with me. Finally i started my work leaving all the thoughts behind. The experienced person who was ready to visit the cities was sitting next to me while i heard him talking to the agent for the railway booking when he said his name and age and handed over the phone to me and asked me to tell mine. Me in a SHOCKED phase kept the phone beside and asked my team leader "am i going seriously??" The reply came back was "What you thought, i was kidding with you?". Me in a totally shocked position answered the call. My heart was filled with joy which i cannot express in words. Finally me calling my dad and mom asking them to keep the clothes ready as i am going to Ahmedabad tomorrow. As expected they were also shocked and too much happy for me.
Next Day morning 03/02/2015 Tuesday 6.00 a.m, i reached station where i got the company of the experienced guy "my colleague". At 7.00 a.m the train arrived and the first step of mine in the Air - conditioned coach for the first time in my entire life which meant a lot for me. My eyes were rolling around as it was for the first time and then after getting settled on the seat, we got a cup of coffee and then breakfast and etc. After having all this i was wondering the cost of the ticket but then thought better chuck it and enjoy the current moment. At 1 p.m we reached at Ahmedabad station and moved on towards the hotel, while going to the hotel we saw all different types of Auto Rickshaws who are carrying Actors pics on the back which was total funny. We finally check -in at the hotel and got ready in semi-formals to visit the clients place. It was on the end of Ahmedabad, somehow we reached and did our work which was quiet fast and proper. It was 5.30 p.m when we were done with the stuff and had a hell of time to wander in Ahmedabad. As discussed between us to visit Kakeria talav we got a bus which took more than an hour to reach the destination because it was routed through almost whole Ahmedabad city. That was an advantage for us to explore the city. Personally speaking it was an amazing city having all the outlets and etc. Finally we reached in Kakeria talav which was totally awesome. We were wandering in it when we saw the amusement park inside it which was a big challenge for me to enjoy and for my colleague it was total fun. The next moment we saw the park he asked to me to come and as usual there was a big No on my face. The first ride was the "Roller Coaster" which lead my heart to fail but my colleague had decided that at any cost we will go and enjoy the ride. That forced me to sit in the ride on the first seat, a total different moment. Then comes turn to the next ride "Tall Tower", it almost killed me but then some how i managed to survive. A moment which was totally beyond imagination and a lifetime memory. After this two rides I told my colleague "Enough for the day", then finally we moved on to the nearest theater which was in a mall were we had dinner in Domino's and then comes the turn of movie "Hawaizade". An ultimate movie, such wonderful that we didn't understood the time that it was 1.30 a.m. A complete new city for us in which we are in a mall somewhere even we don't know, that was a moment to worry but my colleague had a positive thinking and made me calm to not to worry. God's grace we got a Rick at night which dropped us at hotel were we booked a ticket of bus to visit Rajkot city, the amazing thing was we slept at 2.15 a.m and the bus to Rajkot was at 5.45 a.m. Luckily my colleague woke up in the morning and we checked out. The bus departure place was away from our hotel by 2 kms. and the issue repeats of Rick. After waiting for few minutes we started walking towards the departure place but just after few minutes we got a sharing rick at 5.30 a.m and we reached on time. It was pretty sure that we were going to sleep in the bus and we did, were we lost the fun of the viewing the different villages and etc. but the sleep was necessary for us as we had too much of work to do in the Rajkot city.
It was 9.15 a.m when we reached the Rajkot city and checked in the hotel Kavery. The first thing we did in the hotel was to place an order of Gujrati special dish for breakfast which was "Jalebi-Fafdaa". We had so much of it that it crossed our utility but a dream came true which was of having Jalebi-fafdaa in Gujrat. The moment we were ready, we rushed to our clients place as were late. The best self-esteem i got ever was in that place. A damn big personality was sitting in front of us answering our questions which was the feeling of being something in life. The questionnaire continued till evening and then a normal talk on the current status of the market and all. The unexpected thing was the other person was answering to all my questions which didn't make much senses that to without hesitating. At last he said the great thing on the topic "Attitude of the CA" which I registered in my mind as a lifetime memory. Finally we were done with our work and we moved on to the hotel. My colleague had to visit his sister's place so he moved on and me getting some rest in hotel when i came up with an idea of creating my own Blog. While writing on the Blog i got a text of my colleague stating me to explore the city and to sit ideal in hotel. It was 8.00 p.m when i started exploring Rajkot city for dinner. After having a walk for about an half hour i got a Restaurant. I wanted to have a proper Gujrathi dinner but unfortunately in Rajkot, Gujrathi food is served only in lunch time. So it forced me to have a continental food and it has to be a sizzler one of my favorite. After a heavy dinner it was time for a long sleep, which we had till 10 a.m.
Another Fantastic morning it was as we again ordered "jalebi-fafdaa" from the famous shop of Rajkot city. After having too much of it I felt lazy so started up again with completing my Blog. My colleague had some work at her sister's place so he left for half of the day from hotel. Me again alone feeling bored so decided to be in the hotel itself and finish up the work. While i was working suddenly something clicked in my mind which was a line said to me by my colleague stating "Time to explore the city and having all the famous items". So I started moving to explore the city for lunch and visiting the temples (Religious). Watson Museum was the oldest in the city so first visit was that followed by Swaminarayan temples, Main market and etc. The city gave some additions to my knowledge which was a great achievement for me. The mean while I was flirting with my best buddy and was searching for a gift which was encouraging me to explore more and more. Finally i didn't got anything for her but it was a surprise for her so she never got pissed on me. By the time I was wandering in the city it was eve when I reached at hotel and started doing my work. Again came up with a questioning mind for Dinner and started exploring a new road when I came across a fantastic Restaurant, me ordering a Italian pasta. Coming back at hotel i started my work and as my colleague had a Big scoop of Ice cream and also it was
the last day so he wanted to go for a big walk. We had a walk of around an hour
when it was total silence everywhere in the city. It was approx 2.00 a.m when
we slept and we had a bus to board at 5.30 a.m. Somehow we managed to wake up
early and got the bus which was getting us to Ahmedabad where we had a Train to
board for Mumbai. The moment we reached
in Ahmedabad city at 11 a.m , we moved
on again to the mall where we earlier went to watch a movie but this time we
didn't watched movie but had a mini lunch in McDonalds’ and completed our
pending work on the WIFI of MCD till 1.30 p.m and finally we moved on to the
Railway station of Ahmedabad which indirectly meant a good bye to the city.
Honestly speaking there was a moment I thought of staying in the State itself
as I was in love with it. But good things don’t lasts with us forever. Finally
we reached Borivali station and that counted the last moment of my First
Outstation Audit.
While coming back to home I was wondering that how the hell did i got this opportunity when i got this answer that is totally "Law of Attraction".
